Melinda Masson founded her first company, Merit Property Management, Inc. in her early 20’s, with a single contract for the management of a condominium project. Since then, Ms. Masson has continued to expand her entrepreneurial ventures with 4 more real estate related service companies, eventually consolidating her enterprises into the Merit Companies. In 2007, Ms. Masson sold Merit Companies to FirstService Corporation (NASDAQ;FSRV;TSX:FSV), a publicly traded company.
Ms. Masson graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Minnesota, with a Bachelor of Applied Sciences. She has received numerous awards, including the Pioneering Women Award from the National Association of Women Business Owners, the Max Tipton Award for California Sales and Marketing, and the Entrepreneur of the Year Award from INC Magazine.
As a mother of three as well as a successful entrepreneur, Ms. Masson has always been engaged with philanthropic organizations.
As Chair Elect of the Board of Governor’s for Chapman University, serving on the board of trustees for the Urban Land Institute and conducting strategic planning sessions to enhance business plans, she has developed a deep understanding of philanthropy’s unique challenges. Whether it’s education, health services, the arts, or general community service groups, the common thread is the need for effective fundraising.
In her role as CEO, Ms. Masson leads business planning and strategic partnerships. Known for mergers and acquisitions and the integration of new business models, she continues to unveil new opportunities worldwide to support the greater good, bringing scripsense to every community.
Lori Jackson has been in public relations as a fundraising advocate for more than two decades. After graduating from the University of Southern California with a BA in Communications, she began her career working for the National Football League. In her PR & Media Relation roles with the Oakland and Los Angeles Raiders, she became increasingly involved in community outreach.
Throughout her career, Ms. Jackson has built strategic alliances for various businesses and nonprofits, aligning National Brands such as UAW–General Motors and Disney with organizations like the Make-A-Wish Foundation. In addition, she led relationships in launching the first master-planned connected community in California. She has chaired Marketing and PR efforts for the USC Alumni Association as well as served as President of the USCTGJA Orange County. She currently serves as the VP on the Board of Friends of CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) and is a Town & Gown of the University of Southern California Committee Member.
Ms. Jackson’s focus on nonprofits became even more personal once her children enrolled in school. As an Ambassador, she saw an opportunity in the educational institutions to streamline the traditional method of fundraising. Thus came the inspiration for scripsense, an online platform that leverages technology to create new revenue and value streams for organizations. Combining her background in marketing with her understanding of businesses engaging with schools and nonprofits, Ms. Jackson co-founded the company to revitalize fundraising and to make giving easier and more profitable than ever. She oversees the creative team and manages various operations, ensuring that the product meets customers’ needs in both successful fundraising and ease of use.

With more than twenty years of experience in the information technology industry, Barry Rader has spent his entire career working in the software industry covering the entire software lifecycle from concept to delivery. He has spent his last seven years focusing specifically on SAAS e-commerce solutions.
Mr. Rader brings his extensive experience to scripsense to develop and support the second updated and enhanced release, his proficiencies include architecting and developing content management systems, e-commerce applications, banner tracking applications, many promotional and information websites, working as a System Administrator, Network Administrator, Database Administrator, and leading Quality Assurance teams.
In his role as Director of Technology Mr. Rader oversees all development and administration at scripsense. He brings his ideals in software design, software and systems architecture, along with an outstanding user experience to continue scripsense’s reputation as the industry leader.
Bruce Hallett is a co-founder of Miramar Digital Venture Partners. With over two decades of collaborations with technology entrepreneurs, Mr. Hallett leads Miramar investments in mobile Internet solutions and software.
Prior to founding Miramar, Mr. Hallett was Managing Partner of the Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison Orange County office, where he orchestrated initial public offerings, venture financings and liquidity events for many high profile technology companies, including Broadcom, Buy.com, Exult and Applied Semantics (acquired by Google in 2003). Mr. Hallett received his BA magna cum laude from UC Irvine and his JD from UCLA.
Sherman Atkinson joined Miramar in 2011 and focuses on early stage digital media investing, with a particular emphasis on social media, online advertising, and new forms of e-commerce. Previously, Mr. Atkinson was with Austin Ventures, where he was a CEO-In-Residence in their Growth Equity Practice.
Prior, he served as the COO of Intermix Media, Inc. (AMEX: MIX), [holding company] of MySpace.com. During his tenure, Intermix was acquired by News Corporation (NYSE: NWS) for $673 million. Before joining Intermix, Mr. Atkinson was the COO of Buy.com and President of BuyServices, Inc.
Mr. Atkinson received his BA in Russian from Purdue University. He also served as an officer in the United States Marine Corps and spent five years as a consultant with Booz Allen & Hamilton.
